If you can help, please contact Shannon or Kelly.

Inauguration Party ~ January 20, 2009

For many, the election of Barack Obama, our first black President, was considered a watershed moment that began with the Civil Rights movement. On Inauguration Day, the Central Carolina Jaycees gathered in Woodbridge to watch the inauguration, reminisce about the heated 2008 election season, and discuss what happens next.

Attendees ate spaghetti and made a patriotic sign. The children ate homemade snowcones and red-white-and-blue jello. Everyone had a fantastic evening!

Our fun night was captured in the Sanford Herald and even added to reporter Erin Zureick's blog!
